
REEDSVILLE - Area residents joined members of the Mifflin Soaring Association on Sunday to witness the groundbreaking for a new facility to be built at the Mifflin County Airport.
The facility, which is expected to be completed by May 2011, will allow for the newly founded organization to setup office space for the annual soaring contest and room to hold instructional flight classes, Mifflin Soaring Association President John Good said during the ceremony. He also said it will provide additional bathing facilities to the airport as well as needed storage space.
